MONMOUTH POLL: TRUMP TRAILS CLINTON BY FOUR POINTS IN OHIO, 83% OF REPUBLICANS SUPPORT TRUMP, PARTY COULD BE UNITING

According to CNN, a new Mammoth poll shows Trump trailing Clinton by four points in Ohio. The report says:

The Monmouth University poll finds Clinton up four points on Trump among likely Ohio voters, 43% to 39% — within the survey’s 4.9-point margin of error

but also very interesting is deeper in this report is the finding that 83 percent of Republicans are supporting Donald Trump, which could be an indication that Republicans are uniting. Here’s the data that CNN lists:

The Monmouth poll found Clinton and Trump performing about the same with voters of their respective parties, which suggests there is growing party unity as the election approaches and both candidates continue to work to shore up their base. Trump is backed by 83% of Republicans, and Clinton gets the support of 88% of Democrats.

It also says that Trump and Clinton are neck and neck among Independents.
