Angelina Jolie was Deeply Touched By WWII Vet Louis Zamperini During the Filming of His Inspirational Life Story

Jolie and Zamperini

The Christian Broadcasting Network recently released an interview with Angelina Jolie, the director of Unbroken – the remarkable story of WWII Vet Louis Zamperini. Zamperini miraculously survived 47 days on a raft in the pacific after his bomber was shot down. He then endured a year of torture in a Japanese prison camp. There is much more to his story, but one of the threads that Jolie focused on capturing was that of faith. As she put it: “It was very important to us that sometimes in the mother praying, sometimes in the sunrise, there’s always this what we would refer to as the light in the film.” Zamperini died at age 97 just after production of the film was completed, but was able to watch it with Jolie on her computer. ♦ Read More with Video
